Health service provider (health care facility) – state contributory organization, not registered in the public register. The Health Institute with its seat in Ostrava (hereinafter referred to as the “Health Institute with its seat in Ostrava”) was established on 1 January 2003 by Act No. 320/2002 Coll., Section 117, paragraph 19(m).
The status and scope of the Ostrava-based ZÚ is regulated by Section 86(1) of Act No. 258/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Public Health and on Amendments to Certain Related Acts, as amended, and by the Statute of the Ostrava-based ZÚ, approved by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
The Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic performs the function of the founder and superior authority.
